Best all-purpose lens.
Pros: My favorite lens. Great range.

Nikon Superzoom delivers, at least on the wide end
Pros: Massive zoom range, good center sharpness until beyond 100mm
Cons: Corners aren't great, distortion, sharpness suffers past 100mm
The Bottom Line: Great compromise lens; you give up corner sharpness and possibly some wideangle range, but you don't need to swap lenses and can succeed where 2-lens sets fail.Review: This is part of my 3-part series on Nikon consumer-grade DX lenses: 16-85, 18-105, and 18-200.A lot... More -

The Bottom Line: Great lens. Worth the price for not having to swap lenses.Review: After getting the D40 over a year ago, my original plan was to get the 55-200mm to compliment the 18... More
