Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard (B2M00012)

Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 has been expertly crafted to allow you to work in a more natural position. The new Gull Wing design features a 14-degree gable, a natural arc and a curved key bed - bringing the keys closer to your fingers to reduce reach and unnecessary motion, while encouraging a more natural typing position. It also comes equipped with an optional palm lift for a seven-degree reverse slope and a cushioned wrist rest that encourages better arm and wrist alignment.

Microsoft 4000 Computer Keyboard. Does the Microsoft 4000 Keyboard work with a Mac?

    by yakkowarner, Dec 22, 2009
    Pros:

Nothing to install, ergonomic style, has a number key.

    Cons:

Larger than Mac specific keyboards, expensive.

The Bottom Line: A good option for those on a Mac that like the PC keyboard format.
Review: I bought this in conjunction with my Mac Mini because my old wireless USB keyboard did not work with... More

The (Almost) Perfect Ergonomic Keyboard From Microsoft

    by vemartin, Dec 11, 2009
    Pros:

Nice rubberized wrist rests; fairly affordable; nice function and special purose keys.

    Cons:

Keys are hard to depress; design take some getting used to.

The Bottom Line: Overall, I would state the Microsoft has designed a good, solid, useful, ergonomic keyboard with a lot to recommend it in the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 .
Review: Let's face it there is nothing sexy or even new about keyboard design, expect for the rise of backli... More

Had two, both failed the same way, probably won't get another

    by suemccartin, Aug 19, 2009
    Pros:

USB, many function keys, lights for several functions

    Cons:

Poor quality switches-i.e. keys quit, not much life even in light use

The Bottom Line: Split keyboard, one of the few still sold. Switches apparently not the best quality, you may get about 18 months of service with a few hours per day usage.
Review: I also like the natural key layout, I believe it's easier on the hands. I've had two of these... More

    by shopaholic_man, May 05, 2009
    Pros:

Helps alleviate pain and repetitive stress injuries from typing.

    Cons:

A bit unnatural at first, and stiff space bar key.

The Bottom Line: If you have pinched nerves, carpal tunnel or other repetitive stress injury, this keyboard may be the one you need!
Review: I type a lot. I type for work. I type for Epinions. I type for online gaming. I suppose I shouldn't... More

    by trthomp, Nov 29, 2008
    Pros:

Quiet; easy to type on once you get used to it!

    Cons:

Too many buttons that don't always work correctly!

The Bottom Line: The MICROSOFT NATURAL ERGONOMIC 4000 KEYBOARD is the best keyboard I have used. I am going to buy another one since I killed the first one!
Review: I am not sure when and how the MICROSOFT NATURAL ERGONOMIC 4000 KEYBOARD came into my life. I... More
