Nikon Action Ex Extreme (10X50) Binocular

A truly extreme and rugged binocular, the Action EX is built on an all-metal chassis with all optical components installed in a lightweight polycarbonate shell. The Eco-Glass lens system provides bright and tremendously clear images, while the streamlined body is rubber coated for a non-slip grip wet or dry. The Action EX is nitrogen filled and o-ring sealed for years of waterproof, fogproof and shockproof performance.

    Pros:

    Tough, Affordable, Extensive distance perception, Great in all conditions, and 25 year warranty

    Cons:

    Heavy, and awkward to carry.

    Pros:

    Sharp bright image, wide field of view. Good for day, night, or astronomy.

    Cons:

    Somewhat heavy (like most 10x50s); maybe fragile. Odd case and lens caps.

    Pros:

    Excellent value for your money. Crisp, bright view through the optics. 25 year warranty !

    Cons:

    Perhaps a tad on the heavy side, case not suitable for field use.

    The Bottom Line: This is a high quality, very well made binocular intended for some serious outdoor use in most kinds of weather. These have been dunked several times and still performs.
