    Compact for L lens, sharp, good colors, good built

    Cons:

    no IS, not good for indoors/poor lighting

    Pros:

    Sharp optics. Great build quality. Good range.

    Cons:

    Heavy. Expensive. Massive hood. No Image Stabilizer

    Pros:

    Typical Canon "L" build quality...excellent. Silent AF, constant aperture, internal focusing.

    Cons:

    The only negative is there is no hyperfocal scale.

    The Bottom Line: For the landscape photographer on a budget, this is a must have lens to start your quality lens collection. There is plenty of focal range for flexibility.
