Not too heavy, somehow they stop the shaking effect.

    Cons:

    I don't have any complaints.

Review: I love to bird watch and these binoculars have been great for me since I just barely got them. I hav... More

    Canon 12x36 IS II Binoculars

    by hallewell, Aug 05, 2004
    Pros:

optics, image stabilizer, light weight, softer rubber exterior, long battery life

    Cons:

no IS timer button, no twisting rubber eyeguards, kidney beaning, eyepiece covers, no objective covers

The Bottom Line: Try the image stabilizer button before you buy. If in doubt get the 15x50 IS that has a 5 minute IS timer button (but - heavier, harder rubber, smaller fov).
Review: These binoculars are new this year (2004) and as I understand it , compared to their predecessor, th... More

    Pros:

    Incredibly clear/bright; no jiggle; revolutionary

    Cons:

a bit expensive; a bit heavy

The Bottom Line: Buy them immediately! The IS puts them heads beyond any comparble non IS binocs and lets you get the extra detail of 12x without fatigue.
Review: I was a bit concerned before buying these because most birders recommended max 8x magnification to a... More
